Nozomi Networks has made its platform available on Google Cloud Marketplace, including Nozomi Guardian and the Central Management Console.

Customers can now deploy both products within their own Google Cloud tenant environments, giving organisations another way to run Nozomi's operational technology and internet of things security tools through a cloud provider they already use.

The platform focuses on security for operational technology, internet of things and cyber-physical systems, an area of growing concern for operators of industrial sites and critical infrastructure. Demand has risen as manufacturers, utilities, transport groups and other asset-heavy businesses connect more equipment while facing a broader range of cyber threats.

Listing on Google Cloud Marketplace gives Nozomi another sales and deployment channel for customers that want to buy and install software through Google Cloud. It can also simplify procurement for organisations that prefer to manage spending through an existing cloud relationship.

The arrangement builds on Nozomi's existing relationship with Google, including integrations with Google Security Operations for monitoring across information technology, operational technology and internet of things environments on site and in the cloud.

Cloud option

The move also reflects a wider pattern in industrial cybersecurity, as suppliers make their products available across multiple cloud platforms rather than tying customers to a single deployment model. For companies running mixed environments, that flexibility can matter as they connect factory equipment, field devices and building systems to broader monitoring and response tools.

Matt Cowell, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Nozomi Networks, said the company wanted to respond to changing customer requirements.

"Our goal is to consistently provide for our customers' evolving needs, and expanding our solutions on Google Cloud Marketplace enables us to better meet customers where they are," Cowell said. "With offerings across multiple cloud providers, we're giving customers more flexibility and capabilities to ensure their environments are as secure as possible. We're excited to expand our collaboration with Google Cloud."

Google similarly presented the listing as a way to make deployment easier for joint customers.

"Bringing Nozomi Networks to Google Cloud Marketplace will help customers quickly deploy, manage, and grow the company's platform on Google Cloud's trusted, global infrastructure," said Dai Vu, Managing Director, Marketplace & ISV GTM Programs at Google Cloud. "Nozomi can now securely scale and support organisations using the Nozomi Networks Platform to help detect threats and secure their operations."

Recent changes

The marketplace launch comes during a period of change for Nozomi. Mitsubishi Electric completed its acquisition of the company in January, bringing the industrial cybersecurity specialist into the Japanese group's portfolio.

The deal placed Nozomi more firmly within a larger industrial parent at a time when manufacturers and infrastructure operators are seeking tighter links between plant operations and cyber defence. Acquirers in this market have increasingly looked for software businesses with established positions in operational technology security, where visibility into industrial networks remains difficult to achieve with conventional information technology tools.

Nozomi has also been adding new products. It recently introduced Vantage IQ, which it described as an AI-powered private assistant for OT and IoT cybersecurity aimed at analysts, operators and executives.

The Google Cloud Marketplace listing does not change the role of Nozomi's main products, which are designed to give customers visibility into connected operational environments and help identify threats. Users deploying through Google Cloud will retain the visibility and threat detection offered by the existing platform.

For Google Cloud, the addition expands the range of specialist security products available through its marketplace, particularly for industrial and critical infrastructure settings. For Nozomi, it provides another way to reach customers that want cloud-based procurement and deployment while keeping OT security tools inside their own Google Cloud environments.
