Tech Mahindra has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to widen the use of Gemini Enterprise across its workforce, covering more than 12,500 associates worldwide.

The initiative is intended to strengthen the company's readiness for agentic AI projects as customers move from trials to live deployments. It focuses on training staff to build and manage AI agents with Google Cloud tools, while expanding the pool of certified employees working on client projects.

Hands-on training

A central part of the programme is a hands-on workshop called Build with Gemini, which Tech Mahindra is rolling out globally. It is designed to help employees learn how to create, secure and govern AI agents using Gemini Enterprise tools, including Agent Runtime, Agent Gateway and Model Armour.

Staff who complete the workshop will receive a Google Cloud Skill Badge, adding to the internal talent base used for AI delivery work.

The wider effort combines trained staff with reusable industry solutions, deployment experience and a portfolio of agentic AI products. Tech Mahindra also pointed to sector-specific offerings on Google Cloud Marketplace for customers in telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing and retail.

Industry demand

The announcement reflects a broader shift among large service providers as demand moves from AI pilots to implementation. Consulting and technology groups have been building training programmes with major cloud vendors to demonstrate they have enough skilled staff to deliver projects in production environments.

Tech Mahindra, part of the Mahindra Group, has 146,000 professionals across 90 countries. It described the Gemini Enterprise expansion as part of its AI Delivered Right strategy, focused on the responsible, secure and measurable deployment of AI in enterprise environments.

Building capability

"Enterprise AI will scale only when organizations can combine technology innovation with the talent and delivery capability required to put it into production. Together with Google Cloud, we are building that capability by combining hands-on Gemini Enterprise expertise with industry solutions, agents, and real-world deployment experience. This strengthens our ability to help clients move faster from AI ambition to measurable outcomes, consistent with our AI Delivered Right approach," said Pramod Panda, Chief Learning Officer, Tech Mahindra.

Google Cloud presented the expansion as a response to changing customer requirements, saying businesses want partners that can combine technical implementation with sector knowledge and governance as AI systems move into day-to-day operations.

"Enterprises are shifting rapidly from AI experimentation to deployment, where domain expertise and robust engineering matter most. By scaling Gemini Enterprise, Tech Mahindra equips its global teams to build, deploy, and govern agentic AI solutions. Together, we are helping joint customers accelerate innovation and drive business value with Google Cloud," said Kelly Rogan, Vice President, Global System Integrators Partnerships, Google Cloud.
