TechJutsu launches OrgVerify for B2B phone call verification

Thu, 20th Nov 2025

Calgary's TechJutsu has introduced OrgVerify, a business-to-business platform designed to help organisations prove their identity during outbound phone calls. The system addresses the rising threat of phone fraud, where malicious actors impersonate legitimate entities to extract sensitive information from targets.

Fraud trends

The increasing volume of telephone communications has led to more opportunities for deceptive tactics. According to a 2024 report by Statistics Canada, the number of fraud cases in the country almost doubled between 2012 and 2022, increasing from 79,000 to 150,000 over a ten-year period.

Data from the US Federal Trade Commission indicated consumer-reported losses to fraud exceeded USD $12.5 billion in 2024, with phone calls being the second most common method used by fraudsters.

Companies face reputational damage, frustrated customers, and potential financial losses triggered by fraudulent calls. The prevalence of spoofed caller identification has made it challenging for recipients to discern genuine calls from malicious ones, heightening the risk for banks, government agencies, and help desks.

Authentication process

OrgVerify operates by generating a one-time code sent to the call recipient's mobile device during an outbound call. The recipient can then verify the caller's authenticity either through the company's website or via the OrgVerify mobile application. The platform confirms verified callers within seconds, before disclosing any sensitive information.

TechJutsu developed the technology with input from enterprise security teams, contact centre leaders, and telecommunications partners. The product aims to streamline interactions for support teams and facilitate faster issue resolution by minimising the need for traditional re-verification protocols.

Tracey Nyholt, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at TechJutsu, commented on the widespread exploitation of phone systems by fraudsters, noting that imitation of caller identity can seriously undermine customer trust. The OrgVerify solution is positioned as a means to limit impersonation risk and reassure those receiving calls from institutions about the legitimacy of those contacts.

"Since legacy caller ID can be spoofed, Caller Verify is upping the game by providing enhanced security, saving the reputation of organizations that are impersonated by fraudsters," said Nyholt. "Bad actors everywhere are using phones to call your customers and impersonate your organization for nefarious purposes. Since caller ID can be spoofed, your organization is more likely to be impersonated than Elvis!"

The OrgVerify was developed with consultation from enterprise security teams, contact center leaders, and telecom partners seekign to rebuild trust in cellular communications.

"Service teams spend less time re-verifying identity and more time resolving issues. Every verified call protects both brand and customer, reducing risk and ensuring that trust becomes a built-in feature, whether the call is between a bank and its customer, a government and its citizen, or a help desk and its user," TechJutsu stated in a release.

OrgVerify can be used independently or alongside TechJutsu's Caller Verify platform, which targets inbound call verification. The combined offering is designed to deliver comprehensive identity validation across both incoming and outgoing calls.
